Printing and Photocopying

Printing from the Public Area

IIT students now have the option of using their campus printing account at Galvin Library. The print system of the Office for Technology Services (OTS) provides each student $24.50 in print credit each semester. Students can now print from any publicly accessible library computer.

Other library user groups such as university faculty/staff, alum, Kent Law and Stuart students can continue to use library printers by adding monetary value to their IIT HawkCards or by purchasing a SingleCard magnetic copy card from the Library Copy card dispenser.

Login instructions for both systems are provided on each desktop, and each workstation in the public area of the Galvin Library has the ability to print to the public area printer.

Important note about paper: Special paper cannot be used in the printers! To use letterhead or colored paper, you must first print out your document in black/white, then take it to a photocopy machine and make the desired number of copies.

Photocopying Services

The Galvin Library and all of its branches provide photocopying machines for library print and microfilm/fiche collections as well as non-library material.  The Galvin Library has copy machines on the 1st and 2nd floors of the building.  Self-service photocopying in black and white is available.  Copies are available for $0.10 each.

Faculty and research staff may use their IIT HawkCards, cash or a copy card.
