Making a donation or bequest to the Galvin Library is a lasting tribute and puts essential resources into the hands of this and future generations.  Thanks for thinking of us! All donations to the library are tax deductible. 

Monetary Donations

Gifts to the library to purchase books or other materials are extremely appreciated. Gifts may be made in memory of family members, colleagues, and friends or to recognize special individuals. The giver may indicate a particular topic or type of material to be acquired with the donation. Individual bookplates are placed in each item, and letters of acknowledgement are sent to designated individuals as well as to the donor.

Other monetary gifts to the library, not specifically for books or other collection materials, are also welcome. These may be made directly to Dean of the Libraries: Christopher Stewart, 312-567-3293.

 Cash, checks, or credit card ALWAYS acceptable! You may also Adopt-a-Journal. 

Materials  

The Galvin Library accepts gifts of substantive material that fit into the scope of the collection and do not duplicate material already held. Single items and collections of a few items will be accepted with the understanding that they will be retained or disposed of in the manner most beneficial to the library. Larger collections of material will be considered on an individual basis. Donors are asked to submit lists of material or copies of title pages for consideration. Large collections that must be kept intact will not be accepted.  Please contact Dean of the Libraries: Christopher Stewart, 312-567-3293 for additional information.

The library will provide an acknowledgement for materials donated. The appraisal of a gift to the library for income tax purposes is the responsibility of the donor.

Furniture, Equipment, or Art Work

If you are interested in donating furniture, equipment, or artwork we need to know the type, model, estimated price, and, if an item needs to be maintained determine whether the donor or library will be responsible. Please contact the Dean of the Libraries: Dr. Sohair F.
