IIT Students

Welcome to the Paul V. Galvin Library, the main library of Illinois Institute of Technology. The library offers a wide variety of resources, services, and training, all designed to provide support for your information needs. To discover the resources and services that will make your life easier at IIT, we invite you to browse our Website, call or correspond with us, or come to the Galvin Library and talk to our librarians.

Borrowing privileges for students are available with current registration. Requests for books and other materials can be made through the online I-Share catalog, which serves 65 academic institutions in Illinois.

All currently registered students are also eligible to make use of the Galvin Library's electronic resources, including databases and Electronic Reserves, even when accessing the Internet through an off-campus provider. Off-campus access to electronic databases is made possible through the use of the Galvin Library proxy server. For details on using this service, please read the instruction pages.

Please note that your valid IIT ID card is required every time you check out books or collect interlibrary loan articles.
