American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA)
The site provides a calendar of events, research and technical information, publications and educational and other services.  The AIAA E-Library search engine is available to the public, and non-subscribed titles are available for purchase.  Sample issues of AIAA journals are provided.  The strengths of the site are the search engine and the wide array of services offered.

Agencies

Federal Aviation Administration
Includes a link to the FAA Online Library, aviation regulations and standards, news, and information for travelers, pilots and mechanics.

NASA
The site provides information broken down by users groups, including Researchers, Educators and Industry.  A FindIt@NASA search engine with advanced search capabilities is available for a website search, and the NASA Technical Reports Server (NTRS) is available to search the online technical reports collection.  There is a wide ranging multimedia gallery that includes video, images, podcasts, artwork and interactivity.

NASA/Fermilab Theoretical Astrophysics Group
This site outlines personnel, publications, and post-doc positions, etc. pertaining to the lab and provides links to similar websites.  Links are provided to project descriptions and events.

Search Engines

Google Scholar
Search for scholarly publications online. Use the IIT links in the search results to see if the library has access to full-text.

Scirus
This site searches scientific literature and information in selected journals and the Web. Use the "Advanced Search" feature to limit the results to computer science. Also, by enabling IIT in the Library Partner links under Search Preferences, you can connect directly to the library’s online full-text journals.

Fluid Dynamics Research Center
The site describes the mission, facilities and research performed by the Fluid Dynamics Research Center, which is a division of the Mechanical, Materials and Aerospace Engineering Department at IIT.

Advanced Topics in Aerodynamics
This site originates from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology.  The content is geared toward aerospace engineering students, and the site is a great reference for fundamental concepts.

Physical Constants and Astronomical Data
A number of constants and astronomical data are listed.  This site links to the NIST site for fundamental physical constants.
