Subject Specific Databases:
PsycINFO
This database is the authoritative source for scholarly
literature in the behavioral sciences and mental health. PsycINFO
includes material of relevance to psychologists and professionals in
related fields such as psychiatry, management, business, education,
social science, neuroscience, law, medicine, and social work.
PsycEXTRA
PsycEXTRA is a gray literature database, meaning most of the content
was written for professionals and disseminated outside of
peer-reviewed journals. Documents include newsletters, magazines,
newspapers, technical and annual reports, government reports,
consumer brochures, and more.
PsycArticles
PsycArticles is a small database of full-text
scholarly articles from over 56 journals published by the American
Psychological Association, the APA Educational Publishing
Foundation, the Canadian Psychological Association, and Hogrefe
Publishing Group.
Social Services Abstracts
Social Services Abstracts contains
abstracts of current research focused on social work, human
services, and related areas, including social welfare, social
policy, and community development. A good database for research in
the application of vocational rehabilitation and clinical
psychology.
Psychology Tools Databases:
Mental Measurements Yearbook
Mental Measurements Yearbook contains
full text information and reviews of all English-language
standardized tests covering educational skills, personality,
vocational aptitude, psychology, and related areas.
Health and Psychosocial Instruments (HaPI)
Health & Psychosocial Instruments (HaPI), produced by Behavioral
Measurement Database Services, is a comprehensive bibliographic
database providing information about behavioral measurement
instruments. Information in the database is abstracted from hundreds
of leading journals covering health sciences, psychology, and
psychosocial sciences.
